Tip:
An even easier way to turn Bluetooth on or off is with the toggle menu in the notifications panel. Slide the
status bar down to display the notifications screen and then touch

Bluetooth
to turn Bluetooth on or
off.
Note:
Turn off Bluetooth when not in use to conserve battery power, or in places where using a wireless
phone is prohibited, such as aboard an aircraft and in hospitals.
The Bluetooth Settings Menu
The Bluetooth settings menu gives you access to information and controls for your phone’s
Bluetooth feature.
Note:
Bluetooth must be on in order to search for devices, rename the phone name, change visibility status,
and set visibility timeout.

SEARCH FOR DEVICES
to search for other visible in-range Bluetooth devices.

Touch your phone name and visibility status on the top of the screen to make your phone
visible or invisible.

Rename phone
to rename your phone for Bluetooth access.

Visibility timeout
to set your visibility timeout for Bluetooth.

Show received files
to view all files you have received via Bluetooth.

Go to file manager
to open the Bluetooth folder in the file manager.
Change the Phone Name
The phone name identifies your phone to other devices.
1. From the home screen, touch

Settings
>
Bluetooth
.
2. Touch
>
Rename phone
.
3. Enter the name for your phone in the dialog box, and then touch
Rename
.
Connect a Bluetooth Headset or Car Kit
You can listen to music over a Bluetooth stereo headset, or have hands-free conversations using a
compatible Bluetooth headset or car kit. It’s the same procedure to set up stereo audio and hands-
free devices.
To listen to music with your headset or car kit, the headset or car kit must support the A2DP
Bluetooth profile.
