A ZT 8995-D1 uses an RJ-45 connector at location

J2

for the interface to twisted-pair

media. Twisted-pair provides unique connection to the central hub with inexpensive
unshielded or shielded telephone (twisted-pair) wiring. This is the primary advantage to
this type of network segment. It is relatively easy to install Twisted-Pair Ethernet nodes
in many buildings that already have this twisted-pair telephone wiring.

No jumper changes are required to operate the ZT 8995-D1 in a twisted-pair
configuration.
