Operation
Alarm Functions
The IntegratorRD workstation can also monitor contact closure inputs for the purpose of
reporting alarm conditions. These alarms are queued and displayed as each alarm input is
activated. The alarms can be optionally programmed to activate a contact closure output
when an alarm is acknowledged.
Acknowledging Alarm Messages
When an alarm input is activated, a single line message is displayed on the screen, just
below the system logo. The message displays in blinking red letters on a white
background. If multiple alarms are received, they are queued in the order received. Only
one message displays at a time.
The ALARM ACK button is used to acknowledge the alarm currently displayed. Pressing
the ALARM ACK button removes the current alarm message and, if there are additional
alarm messages, displays the next alarm in the queue. When all alarms have been
acknowledged, the alarm message display is blanked.
Reviewing the Alarm Status
In addition to the alarm message display, the current status of all alarm inputs can be
reviewed by pressing the
Aux I/O menu button.
To remove the alarm status display and return the Secondary Function buttons, press the
Aux I/O menu button.
Using a Telephone Channel
One or more telephone channels can be configured in the system using a Series 4000
Phone Coupler and a Local Channel card. The IntegratorRD Workstation provides dialing
capabilities using the keyboard, the audio panel keypad, and the Paging menu.
Answering a Phone Call
When a phone channel indicates “Ring,” the channel is answered by doing a mouse center
click on the channel or highlighting (right clicking) the channel and pressing the
Answer/
Hold button. The console is now connected to the phone line in a full duplex live audio
mode, and the audio from all radio channels is routed to the console unselect speaker. On
the M4217 audio panel the 16 key pad will be live with DTMF digits when pressed.
To complete the call, press the Phone Release button to disconnect the phone line.
Originating a Phone Call
Press the Answer/Hold button to take the phone Off Hook, wait for the dial tone, and
punch in the desired phone number to call on the console numeric keypad on the M4217
audio panel keypad. Note that a leading digit is NOT required here since the console
knows that this is a phone channel. When the called party answers, talk and listen just like
