Reviewing Input and Output Conditions
The current status of all contact closure inputs and outputs are reviewed by pressing the
Aux I/O
menu button. The Secondary Function Button Region is replaced with a list of
input and output buttons. Up to 16 input and output buttons are displayed on one screen.
Use the
Next
and
Prev
buttons to view additional inputs and outputs.
The color of an input or output name indicates its status. The specific color is
programmable, so refer to the system configuration information. To remove the alarm
status display and return the Secondary Function buttons, press the
Aux I/O
menu button.
With the release of version 5.0, the activation of an AUX Input that is designated as an
alarm results in an entry being added to the Call History list in order to automatically log
the date/time of the event. When the alarm is acknowledged, that event is logged in Call
History as well.
Activating an Output
Auxiliary outputs are programmed for control by IntegratorRD. These outputs can then be
activated and deactivated from the screen or keyboard. To change the state of an output,
use the
Next
or
Prev
buttons to locate the desired output button and press the output
button to change the output state. The configuration of an output is preprogrammed to
either toggle or momentary contact.
Controlling Inputs and Outputs from the Model 4115 Expansion Panel
Auxiliary I/O status and control can be performed on an optional Model 4115 Expansion
Panel. Inputs and Outputs are shown on independent button locations, or a combined input
and output, controlled from a single button location. Combined I/O buttons have a green
LED, representing the status of the input, and a red LED, representing the status of the
output. Pressing the associated button changes the status of the output.
Spare Outputs
A console has eight spare outputs that can be programmed through RDPS. The spare
outputs may be programmed as momentary or toggle functions. If spare outputs 5, 6, 7,
and 8 are not programmed, they function as follows:
Spare Output 5
Turns on when a call indication is received on selected channel.
Spare Output 6
Turns on when PTT is activated.
Spare Output 7
Reverse Selective Calling mode: turns on when an ANI is displayed on
the console.
PTT ID mode: turns on when an emergency ANI is displayed on the
console.
Spare Output 8
Reverse Selective Call mode: produces a 500-millisecond pulse whenever
an ANI is decoded by the console.
PTT ID mode: produces a 500-millisecond pulse whenever an emergency
ANI is decoded by the console.
