Operation
Radio Disconnected State
If data communication between the Common Control Equipment (CCE) and the radio has
not been established, then “Rad Discon” displays in the Call Progress area of the channel
box and the Radio ID field is blank.
Idle State
When the radio has acquired the repeater control channel, which is required before any
radio communication can occur, the in service indication becomes visible (see
).
While no calls and messaging are active on a specific channel, the Call Progress area is
blanked and Radio ID area of the channel box indicates the last call ID or alias. If no calls
have been connected on the channel (following initial startup), the Radio ID field is blank.

Call Connected State
When the radio is in a call and a maximum call duration is setup for that radio, the
remaining call duration is displayed instead of the service indication. 10 seconds before
the call times out, a warning tone shall be activated.
Call History Window
When enabled, the window, as shown in
, shows a list of received status codes,
SST messages, and calls as they are received from the field units. The information
includes the following:
•
TalkGroup/Chan
(the MAP27 channel on which a group, individual, status, or
SST call was received) - The MAP27 channel displayed matches the display in the
channel box.
•
Group Name
- Alias(es) for associated Radio Groups of identified Subscriber IDs
are displayed here. (Group Names must be programmed during configuration.)
•
ID
(the calling radio’s ID) - Individual call IDs can be aliased to a 10-character
alphanumeric string.
Note
When the channel is connected to a M427, the call duration is not
displayed but a warning tone shall be activated 10 seconds prior to
the call timing out.
