Operation
Keyup During Paging
Any keyup attempt during a paging sequence cancels any programmed talk time.
A keyup without a matching keydown, held until after the paging sequence has completed,
is considered a PTT request, which will override any programmed Talk Time. If Talk
Time is programmed, the PTT request is handled by keeping the current paging channels
keyed up until PTT is released. If no Talk Time is programmed, the PTT request shall first
keydown the current paging channels, then keyup on all currently selected channels.
Terminating a Page
To terminate a page stack in progress, press the Page Clear button. This stops the page
transmission following the completion of the current page.

If an error is detected during a page, one of the messages shown in Table 7 is displayed.

Auxiliary I/O Functions
With the Auxiliary I/O option, the IntegratorRD Workstation can monitor external on/off
inputs and control external on/off outputs. Up to 72 outputs and 240 inputs can be
controlled.
An additional eight inputs and eight outputs are available on the Model 4217B Audio
Panel. These inputs and outputs are position-specific and independently controlled from
each position.
Inputs can be used to monitor alarms or show the condition of door actuators. Outputs can
control gates, doors, lights, and other devices.
Message Description
“Page TX Fail” Either no channels are selected for the page or an error occurred during a transmitter
key up.
“Capcode Error” The requested page capcode is invalid (incorrect digits, incorrect length).
“No Option” A paging format has been programmed that the Model 4217B Audio Panel has not been
optioned to support.
“No Format” The specified leading digit is not programmed.
“Encdr Timeout” The paging encoder did not respond to the page request in the allotted time.
“Addr Not Prg’d” The custom call address is not programmed.
