Control Components

Figure 12: The System Region

System Menu Region

The following can be configured for this region: Auxiliary I/O Menu, EDACS Review, 
Miscellaneous Menu, Page Select, Patch Groups, XMIT Groups, Select Groups, Recall 
Recorder Menu, iDEN Call Menu, SDC Call Menu, MAP27 Call Menu, MAP27 
Dispatcher Menu, and MDC-1200 Call Menu.

Pressing a menu button replaces the buttons in the Secondary Function Button Region 
with menu selection buttons. Also included are six display setup selection buttons for 
recalling different screen configurations. Refer to 

Operation

 on page 59 for a description 

of the menu functions.

Main Function Button Region

The Main Function Button Region maintains control buttons, which are available at all 
times. These buttons are active regardless of the state of the menus. The region can be 
configured to display up to 22 control functions.

Secondary Function Button Region

This region displays control functions not included in the Main Function Button Region. 
When a menu is selected, these control buttons are replaced by the menu buttons. The 
region can be configured to display up to 22 control functions.

Mouse/Trackball

If an optional three-button mouse or trackball is included with the system, it may be used 
to select the on-screen buttons. The buttons on the mouse or trackball are programmed for 
specific console functions:
