The following alarms, but no others, can be disabled through
this mode:
a.
Oxygen instantaneous low alarm.
b.
Explosive very high alarm.
c.
Toxic 1 and toxic 2 very high alarms.
Notes: 1. On the oxygen channel, the low alarm cannot be
set higher than the high alarm setting and,
conversely, the high alarm cannot be set lower than
the low alarm setting.
2. On the explosive and toxic channels, the very high
alarm can be set only at a greater level than the high
alarm.
5.2
CHANGING ALARM LEVELS
5.2.1
General
Some of the prompt screens in the following procedures present
the operator with a yes/no option (-y or n-). Press the I/O button
for Yes or the
O button for No.
Having obtained the appropriate screen, the alarm levels are
adjusted by means of the I/O (increase) and
O (decrease)
buttons. Pressing both buttons simultaneously disables the
selected alarm.
5.2.2
Entering Field Settable Alarm Mode
(1)
Ensure that the Minigas Mk5 is switched off, and remove
the sleeve.
(2)
Identify the calibration button anti-tamper screw at the
top left of the instrument just to the rear of the sensor
grill. Remove and retain the screw and washer (2mm A/F
Allen key).
