2. USING THE MINIGAS MK5
In the event of fault(s) occurring that cannot be repaired locally,
the Minigas Mk5 must be returned to Zellweger Analytics or
their local agent for servicing (see Section 4.6 for Service
details).
2.17 OPERATIONAL ERROR INDICATION
If the Minigas Mk5 detects an operational error (for example, a
calibration failure in EasyCal mode, or an attempt to AutoZero
a reading that is outside the preset limits), the error bleep sounds
and the red lights flash.
2.18 LOW BATTERY INDICATION
2.18.1 Low Battery Indications
There are three levels of low battery indication:
a.
As the battery pack (rechargeable or dry-cell) becomes
exhausted (that is, as its output voltage first starts to
fall), the message bAt is displayed and the watchdog
signal changes to a double bleep with the red lights
flashing (see Table 1). After two seconds the Minigas
Mk5 display reverts to its previous mode, but the warning
recurs every 10 seconds until either the instrument is
switched off or an alarm/fault occurs. However, if the
Forced Response to Low Battery software option is
enabled, the Minigas Mk5 will not revert to its previous
mode until the first warning is acknowledged by applying
a press to the I/O button. This ensures that the user is
fully aware that the battery pack is becoming exhausted.
b.
If the battery becomes so exhausted that the Minigas
Mk5 cannot function properly, the message FLt bAt is
displayed continuously on the screen and the fault alarm
sounds. This consists of 1-second bleeps separated by
short intervals when the red lights flash (see Table 1).
