2. USING THE MINIGAS MK5
2.15.3 Audio Alarms
The standard configuration danger alarm audio signal consists
of a two-tone (2560/2104Hz) warbling bleep. However,
alternative software options, with or without the two-tone bleep,
are available to introduce a warning signal for explosive and
toxic gas high (first level) instantaneous levels, with the danger
signal reserved for very high levels.
Software option 1:
Dual alarm bleep enabled, warning
alarm bleep enabled.
Software option 2:
Dual alarm bleep disabled, warning
alarm bleep enabled.
The various Minigas Mk5 bleep patterns are defined in Table 1
as a series of bleep/pause phases of specified duration, where:
<HiXXXms> is a high tone (2560Hz) bleep for XXX milliseconds,
<Lo XXXms> is a low tone (2104Hz) bleep for XXX milliseconds,
<pause XXXms> is a silent pause of XXX milliseconds.
The volume of the various alarm and signal bleeps is specified
in Table 1.
2.15.4 Alarm Cancelling
If the Alarm Cancel software option is configured, the alarm
signal can be cancelled by pressing the I/O button. Other
screens can then be selected. However, if two or more alarms
occur simultaneously on the same screen, only the highest
priority alarm is cancelled - the I/O button must be pressed to
cancel each alarm in turn unless the Cancel All-in-Sight option
is also configured (see Section 1.4).
