MAN0585.P65
Issue 01 - 11/99
2987M5023
2. USING THE MINIGAS MK5
The alarm remains cancelled for a configurable time-out period
(up to 30 seconds), which is referred to as the Alarm Recurrence
Time (ART). After that time, if still in a hazardous environment
the alarm sounds again automatically, otherwise it is cancelled
completely.
The watchdog signal also remains dormant during the time-
out period, but thereafter gives a double-bleep signal (Table 1)
to indicate that the Minigas Mk5 has registered at least one
hazard during the current period of use.
2.15.5 Alarm Priority
If the Minigas Mk5 detects two or more hazards simultaneously,
the display jumps to the screen with the greatest priority
(assuming the Alarm Jump option is configured). Similarly,
alarms are cancelled in the same order of priority.
Minigas Mk5 priorities are normally configured as follows:
1st
Oxygen, low level
2nd
Oxygen, high level
3rd
Explosive, very high
4th
Explosive, high
5th
Toxic 1 or toxic 2, very high
6th
Toxic 1 or toxic 2, high
7th
Explosive, STEL
8th
Toxic 1 or toxic 2, LTEL
9th
Toxic 1 or toxic 2, STEL
