Preparations for use OPMI Lumera

Connection via beam splitter and C-Mount adapter
Perform the following steps to operate the video camera via the C-Mount
video objective lens:
•
Unscrew the securing screw (7) by a few turns.
•
Remove the binocular tube (1).
•
Position the beam splitter (6) on the surgical microscope.
•
Firmly tighten the securing screw (8).
•
Fasten the binocular tube (1) in the same way on the beam splitter (6)
using the securing screw (7).
•
Loosen the knurled ring (4).
•
Remove the dust cover from the mount of the beam splitter and store it
in a safe place.
•
Slide the C-Mount video objective lens (2) into the mount. Make sure that
the locating block is fed into the matching part of the knurled ring (4).
•
Screw the knurled ring (4) onto the C-Mount video objective lens (2).
•
Firmly tighten the knurled ring (4).
•
Screw the camera head onto the C-Mount video objective lens (2).
Make sure that the camera image is correctly oriented!
NOTICE Damage to the camera caused by wrong video lens!
•
The maximum screw depth of the C-Mount threading of your video
objective lens is 3.5 mm.
A longer thread can damage the camera and definitely results in focus
errors of the video objective lens.
If in doubt, please ask your local dealer or ZEISS Service which video
objective lens is suitable for your system.
•
Before every use and after re-equipping the system, make sure that the
binocular tube, the C-Mount video lens, and the beam splitter are secure-
ly locked into position.
•
Make sure that all securing screws are firmly tightened!
