•
Press the XY reset button on the XY coupling. The performed functions
depend on the configured settings (see page 114).
•
Look through the eyepieces and lower the surgical microscope using the
suspension arm until the surgical field comes into focus. This will allow you
to achieve a rough focus.
CAUTION
Unintentional movement of the device!
If a focus movement is triggered by incorrect operation, this can cause the
device to come into contact with the patient’s eye, especially if an accessory
(e.g. Visulux, BIOM, fundus viewing system) is installed on the surgical micro-
scope. This can result in injury to the anterior eye segment.
•
To prevent contact with the patient, ensure that the range of movement
is sufficient for the position of the focus.
WARNING
Risk of injury due to vertical movement of the suspension arm!
If the suspension arm is adjusted, the stand can move vertically causing
the surgical microscope to come into contact with the patient.
This can result in serious injuries to the patient’s eye.
•
Ensure that there is sufficient space for a vertical adjustment.
CAUTION
Video images not for diagnostic purposes!
R510
You must not use the stored video sequences, video clips (extracted
sequences), single images, and live images for diagnostic purposes.
As the video cameras and monitors have not been calibrated, the visualized
video sequences, video clips, and single images may include deviations
in scale, color, and shape. Transmission to other monitors, in particular,
may change the display of the images.
Incorrect data might be used as a basis for subsequent treatment.
This could lead to unnecessary or incorrect surgery.
•
Make sure that stored video sequences, video clips, single images,
and live images are never used for diagnostic purposes.
