X-Y Guideway, Gear Rack and Gears with Rollers
Precondition:
The cross stage covers have been removed.
Procedure:
1)
Remove the four securing screws (Torx 15) by
positioning the cross stage such that the
screws can be accessed through the access
aperture. (The table will need to be
repositioned to access each screw). Pay
attention to not damage the optic fibre
cabling on the measurement head.
2)
Re-attach the right measurement head cover.
. Pay attention that
the measurement head is not knocked over.
3)
Prepare a stable and grippy surface of equal
height to computer base. The cross stage

With extra caution, slide the cross stage
towards PI and remove the measurement
head – lying it on the right side (viewed from
patient) on the prepared surface.
Caution!
Pay attention to not scratch the
computer base.
5)
Loosen the screws of one gear rack and
remove the gear rack.
6)
Remove the X-Y guideway at the side.
Reassembly:
1)
Reassemble in the reverse order.
Note
When installing the X-Y guideway, make
sure to mount it precisely parallel in the
gear racks.
The rounded side of the X-Y guideway
points towards the cable opening
(operator side)!
When the X-Y guideway is changed, the
pair of gears with rollers continues to be
used.
When the gear rack is changed, the path
limiter continues to be used.
