Features Mode Expanding Panels
Two expanding panels are available when the Positioning Features mode is selected in
the Scan Tree.
The Positioning Features Details panel gives
information about the total number of features
in the current scan and the number of currently
observed features.
The Positioning Features Parameters contains
two parameters available to the user: the
Feature Type and the Optimize Positioning
Model algorithm.

The Feature Type allows the user
to choose between the type of
positioning feature currently in
use. The default value is the type of features that was shipped with the
scanner, but it can be changed to work with other positioning features by
ZCorp Please note that only ZScanner features can be used with the
scanner. Contact your reseller for more information about the different
choices in positioning features.

The Optimize Positioning Model algorithm will consider all of the
observations of the positioning targets and optimize their position. This will
allow a better precision in the resulting positioning model, hence
increasing the accuracy of the scanned surface.
