When clicking on the New button, the user is prompted to enter the scanner serial
number and to browse to the location of the configuration and license files. These files
are located on the CD provided with the scanner. Click on OK to install the files. Once
this is done, the scanner is ready to be used.
From the main window, it is also possible to restore the scanner's calibration to the factory
default. Be careful, as this manipulation cannot be undone.
Software Uninstallation
ZScan can be uninstalled through the Add and Remove Programs in Windows Control
Panel.
In Windows XP:
•
In the Start Menu, go to Parameters

Control Panel.
•
In that panel, go to Add and Remove Programs.
•
Select the Modify or Remove Programs tab, and select ZScan from the list.
•
Click on Change/Uninstall and follow the instructions on the screen to complete
the removal process.
In Windows Vista:
•
In the Start Menu, click on Control Panel.
•
In that panel, go to Programs and Features.
•
Select ZScan from the list and click Uninstall.
•
Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the removal process.
