Setting the Start Trigger
Procedure
To exit the menu during operation, press
ESC
located above
the soft keys.
In the procedural explanation below, the phrase “
rotary knob
& SELECT
” and “
numeric keys & ENTER
” may be used.
These phrases indicate procedures for selecting/setting items
and entering values, character strings, and units. For details

Explanation
Selecting the Start Trigger ON/OFF
You can set the method of starting waveform generation.
ON
When you press the START/STOP key, the VB8300 enters the trigger-wait state. Then,
when an external start trigger signal is detected, waveform generation starts (section 2.5).
OFF
Waveform generation starts when you press the START/STOP key.
• The green indicator above the START/STOP key illuminates while waveform
generation is in progress.
• Press the START/STOP key again while waveform is being generated to stop
waveform generation.
• When using an external start trigger signal, connect a BNC cable to the CLOCK
START IN terminal on the rear panel and apply the signal.
• For detailed specifications of the external start trigger signal, see section 13.1.
• The start point of waveform output can be shifted forward. For the setup
procedure, see section 5.5.
Note
If waveform output is turned OFF with the ON/OFF key, waveform is not output even if
waveform generation is started.
