Explanation
Calibration
The following items are calibrated. Perform calibration when you wish to measure
waveforms with high accuracy.
• Amplitude
• Offset
If the calibration completes successfully, nothing appears on the screen. If it fails, an
error dialog box appears. If an error dialog box appears, contact your nearest
YOKOGAWA dealer.
Note
The VB8300 powers up using the factory default calibration data.
Precautions to Be Taken When Performing Calibration
• Always allow the instrument to warm up for at least 30 minutes after the power is
turned ON before starting calibration. If calibration is performed immediately after the
power is turned ON, the calibration may be inaccurate due to drift caused by
fluctuation in the temperature of the instrument.
• Calibration must be performed when the temperature of the instrument is stable and is
between 5
°
C and 40
°
C (preferably at 23
±
5
°
C).
• Do not generate signals when performing calibration as calibration cannot be performed.
• If the analog summing output or sequence trigger option (/AT) is available, do not
connect anything to the ANALOG SUM EXT IN terminal on the rear panel.
