Explanation
To use the network function of the GS820, the TCP/IP parameters must be configured.
DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol)
DHCP is a protocol that allocates settings that are temporarily needed to PCs connecting
to the network. If DHCP is turned ON, the following settings will be automatically
assigned.
IP address
Subnet mask
Default gateway
• To use DHCP, the network must have a DHCP server. Consult your network
administrator to see if DHCP is available.
• If DHCP is turned ON, different settings may be assigned each time the power is
turned ON. When accessing the GS820 from your PC, you must check the GS820
TCP/IP settings such as the IP address each time the power is turned ON.
