4.12.2 Measuring
Measure the depth of immersion as follows:
Display of the depth of immersion as the main measured parameter
Display of the depth of immersion as the secondary measured parameter
Salinity correction The salinity of a test sample (e.g. seawater) has an impact on the deter-
mination of the depth of immersion of the sensor.
You can activate the salinity correction in the menu for measurement
settings (DPT). Then you can enter the salinity (salt content) of the test
sample (see section 4.12.3).
If the salinity correction is switched on, the [Sal] display appears in the
measurement window of the parameter, depth of immersion.
Freezing the measured
value (HOLD function)
The HOLD function is used to freeze the current measured value. The
displayed measured value does not change until the HOLD function is
switched off again.
1 Carry out the preparatory activities according to section 4.12.1.
2 Immerse the multi parameter probe in the test sample.
