Special features of the
MPP 9x0 IDS multi
parameter probes

With an MPP 930 equipped with the maximum number of IDS sen-
sors of the XXX-P series (3), the setting menu for the parameter,
depth of immersion, is only available from the single display of the
measured parameter (
<F2> + <


> , see section 4.3.2).

If an MPP 9x0 IDS multi parameter probe is connected to the meter,
no other sensor directly connected to the meter can be operated.
Display:

Any open plug-in positions on the MPP 9x0 IDS multi parameter
probe can cause damage when in contact with water. Therefore,
they always have to be closed with a blind plug (BPI/DS 900). Dis-
play:
Sensor input open!

As soon as an IDS sensor of the XXX-P series is connected to the
MPP 9x0 IDS multi parameter probe, the parameter depth of immer-
sion is included as a secondary measured in the measured value
display of the main measured value.

Depth values are displayed from a depth of immersion of 0.5 m.

Depending on the equipment of the MPP 9x0 IDS, the following
value is displayed as the depth of immersion:
– the depth of immersion of the connected IDS sensors
(averaged value for all IDS sensors of the XXX-P series)
– the depth of immersion of the pressure sensor of the MPP 9x0
IDS (if no IDS sensors of the XXX series are connected)

For IDS sensors of the XXX-P series that are operated on the MPP
9x0 IDS multi parameter probe, only the functions required for mea-
suring are available.

Only for IDS sensors of the XXX-P series directly connected to the
meter, the following functions can be carried out (see section
4.12.5):
– Calibration
– Reset
– Carry out firmware update
Temperature
measurement
The MPP 9x0 IDS multi parameter probe measures the temperature
with a temperature sensor integrated in the probe.
This temperature is displayed if no IDS sensor of the XXX-P series is
connected to the MPP 9x0 IDS multi parameter probe.
As soon as an IDS sensor of the XXX-P series is connected to the MPP
9x0 IDS multi parameter probe, the temperature value measured by the
IDS sensor of the XXX-P series is always displayed for the main mea-
sured parameter.
