System Administrator Guide

Properties

The properties tab is used to configure machine settings.

Description

The Description Page displays the machine model and serial number and provides fields for the entry
of location, Xerox asset number and customer asset number information.

Tray Settings

The Tray Settings page allows you to set the Mode, Prompt option and Sequence settings for the
machine’s media trays.

Mode

Each tray can be set to one of the following modes:

•

Static

- The paper size and type is specified by the user when loading the tray.

•

Dynamic

- The paper size and type are dictated by the print job being sent. The tray is selected

using the printer driver.

•

Permanent

- The paper size and type is permanently set and cannot be changed by the user

during paper loading. The paper type and size requested must be loaded.

•

Bypass

- Allows a print job to start or continue by accepting any paper loaded into Tray 1 (Bypass),

and print on that paper, regardless of what the print job specifies.

Prompt

If this option is enabled for a tray a prompt to change the tray settings is displayed when the tray is
opened and closed.
