4. Check voltage between GND and pins
23 and 24 on CN10 on the main
circuit board (Figure 2-14).

Continue with Step 6.

problem, replace the main board
(REP 5.1.2: Main Board on page 4-
39).

NOTE: You may also choose to check the carriage
motor for an open motor winding.
Table 2-3 gives the resistance values
between pins on the carriage motor wiring harness.
If the resistance is too low, then there is a short
in the motor winding. If the resistance is infinite,
or too high, then there is an open in the motor winding.
