Command Function
Blur Applies an image enhancement filter to the current
page, providing a softer appearance.
Resize Displays a dialog box that lets you adjust the actual
size of the current page. See “Resizing pages” later
in this chapter for more information.
Change
Resolution Displays a dialog box to modify the resolution (dots
per inch) of the current page. See “Changing
resolution” later in this chapter for more
information.
Convert
Color Depth Provides a cascading menu of commands to change
the number of bits of data used to define the colors
in a document. See “Changing color depth” later in
this chapter for more information.
Remove
Background
Tint Removes image data from a page that Pagis Pro
detected as background tint. See “Removing
background tint” later in this chapter for more
information.

Text to
Black Removes the color text layer from a document. (If
Pagis Pro detects colored text in a scanned
document, ordinarily it creates a separate layer in
the XIF file for this colored text. In the binary layer,
the same text is represented in black and white, so
you do not lose actual text content.)
Image
Properties Presents a dialog box of information about the
current page—whether it is color or black and white;
width and height; resolution, and so on.
Annotate menu
This section provides brief summaries, and highlights important
features, of all commands in the Pagis Editor’s Annotate menu
(Figure 4–37).
