Messaging – Premises
Messaging – Premises, allows extensions to program an extension status message that is
displayed on other digital extensions, calling. For example, an extension can set their sta-
tus to “Out to Lunch”, so when other extensions call, this is displayed. Thus, the displayed
message informs other users of the current status for the extension they are contacting.
The user may select from six pre-programmed messages or they may create their own cus-
tomized message.
Conditions
1.
Dial Pad Key 1 is used to select special characters. Refer to the
Lettering Scheme

Dial “
*
” before any dial pad key to insert the numeral on the dial pad key instead of a
letter in this character position. Pressing the “
*
” after the letter is entered to get lower
case letters.
3.
When “
#
” is pressed after a letter has been selected for this character position, the
selected letter is forced to lower case, Use to insert a space.
4.
Messages can be 16 letters/symbols maximum.
5.
The Message – Premises feature code can be stored on an available Flexible Feature
Button.
6.
When the Message – Premises feature code is stored on a Flexible Feature Button, that
button is used to activate and deactivate the status message.
7.
The Status Message will only update if the called telephone is ringing. If the extension
answers handsfree, press the
*
key to activate ringing and received the status mes-
sage.
