Time
The System Time setting - often called the Open and Closed Schedule - is used by the
voice processing system to determine when to play the holiday, night, or regular office
hours greetings. The voice processing system verifies the current time and selects the
appropriate greeting to be played. If no greeting is recorded then a generic greeting will be
played. The following parameters are used when setting the system time:

Set office Hours - This is the time during the day that the office is con-
sidered open. At default the time is set to 08:00 to 17:00 (5 pm) and can be
changed by entering in a new 8 digit time. For example, to change the open
schedule from 8:00 to 5:00 to 9:00 am to 6:00 pm the enter, in 24 hour for-
mat, will be 09001800. During that time the Regular Hours Greeting will play.
Any time before 9:00 am and after 1800 (6:00pm) the after hours greeting
will play.

Set Saturday Hours - If the business is going to have Saturday hours,
they should be programmed here, using the same 24 hour format. If no Sat-
urday office hours are needed, just leave it at default. Sunday will play the
holiday greeting, from Midnight Saturday (00:00) until Midnight Sunday
(00:00). This allows the greeting to be customized for each installation.

Lunch Hours - At default no lunch hour(s) is defined. If a special lunch
break greeting is desired then this time must be set. For example, to activate
a lunch greeting from noon to 1 pm, the entry would be 12001300. This will
activate the lunch greeting automatically at 12 noon and play it until 1 pm. At
1 pm, the voice processing will verify the open and closed schedule and play
the appropriate greeting.
NOTE:
The voice processing system time and date, for envelope information, is synchronized with
the telephone system. Therefore, once the KSU time and date is set, so too is the voice
processing.
