4. Remove the two screws that hold the cover with the vents (this compart-
ment houses the modem and heat sink for your unit and you should
exercise extreme care when working near these delicate elements of your
system). Set the cover and the two screws in a safe place. (Figure 7.8)
5. At the front of this compartment, you will see a screw that secures the
the hard disk drive unit in its bay. Remove the screw that secures the
drive and set it in a safe place. Be very careful not to drop the screw
into this compartment, since there are delicate components of your
system located here. (Figure 7.9)
6. Slide the hard disk drive unit out of the system. (Figure 7.10)
7. The drive is attached to a special bracket that secures it to the WinBook
XL2. Remove this bracket from your existing drive.
