2.4.2 Operate LED
The Operate LED, located on the right-hand side of the power LED, indicates the operating
condition.

details on the Operate LED indications.
2.5 Tuning and calibration information
You must tune and, if necessary, calibrate the instrument prior to use. You can perform these
tasks using IntelliStart (MassLynx) software . For further instruction, see the mass spectrometer’s
online Help.
2.6 Running the mass spectrometer at high flow rates
The ACQUITY UPLC system runs at high flow rates. To optimize desolvation and sensitivity, run
the ACQUITY Xevo TQ-XS system at appropriate gas flows and desolvation temperatures. When
you specify a flow rate, IntelliStart software automatically specifies the settings shown in the
following table.
