BASIC AND FACTORY SETTINGS
The EPG-SPRINT control unit is factory-confi gured for operation with Corona manual or
automatic guns. Consequently, the control unit can be used in a manual system or
PrimaTech system without any further settings being required.
However, if the control unit is used with a Tribo manual or automatic gun, the gun type
must be changed. This change is effected in the confi guration settings.
For all other settings, confi gurations and special functions, please refer to the chapter
“Device confi guration“.
6.2
COATING PROGRAMS
Programs are there to save the time-consuming setup work when changing powder or
workpiece. All the parameters required for the coating of a workpiece are compiled and
stored under a program number.
These can be called up again as required using the program buttons.
With the EPG-SPRINT a program comprises the following parameters:
Overall air quantity (feed and dosage air quantity) [m³/h]
Powder quantity
[%]
Atomizing and Tribo air [m³/h]
High-voltage [kV]
Current limiting
[µA]
U/I characteristic [standard, medium, soft]
The EPG-SPRINT control unit has 50 pre-defined programs. 4 of these can be selected
directly using buttons 5-8 and the remaining 46 by pressing the “additional programs“
button 25 above rotary controller 24. All programs can be adapted and stored by the user
to suit individual requirements.
Program 1 for surface parts: High powder quantity, high
powder charging.
Program 2 for second-coating: Small powder application,
low powder charging.
Program 3 for profi le parts: Medium powder quantity, low
powder charging.
Program 4 for double click function: Individual setting,
activated by a double click on the manual gun or once this
button has been pressed.
Programs 5 to 50: Can be selected with the rotary
controller 24 after pressing the button.
