Local video troubleshooting
The video window displays a solid color instead of video
•
Make sure the camera is connected, turned on and is selected in the toolbar.
No local video
Check these conditions:
•
An inactive camera has been selected.
•
The camera has its brightness setting adjusted all the way down. To check
this, use the
Video
tab of the Control Interface. See Chapter 4.
•
The camera does not have power.
•
The cable between the camera and the VTEL codec/IMUX board is loose or
disconnected.
Local video is poor
Possible causes for this problem are:
•
Inadequate lighting or dark backgrounds at the local site.
•
The display may not be operating in 16-bit or 32-bit color mode.
•
Functions that require a lot of bandwidth are being performed; e.g., a lot of
movement.
•
The video settings (color, hue, contrast and brightness) could be incorrect.
Open the Control Interface and adjust the settings. See Chapter 4.
Local video is too dark
The video settings (color, hue, contrast and brightness) may be incorrect. Open the
Control Interface and adjust these settings. See Chapter 4.
