B.2
Ability to dial out but cannot receive calls
Verify the value in the DN field of the
Network Type
tab of the Advanced
Configuration Program. If the area code has been included in the DN, omit the area
code and use the seven digit local number only. Then, have another unit call your
system to verify the receipt of calls.
Camera troubleshooting
If your camera does not respond to the
Camera Test
button on the
Peripherals
tab in
the Advanced Configuration Program, you may have selected the wrong COM port
number.
Open the Advanced Configuration program by clicking
Start>Programs>Vtel>
Advanced Configuration
. Select the
Peripherals
tab and verify that you have selected
COM port 1. Be sure that you do not have AppsView running, as the camera test will
not function when AppsView is running.
If you are still unable to receive a response from the camera, please verify that
•
the camera cable is fully inserted into the serial (COM) port,
•
the camera cable is securely connected to the VISCA IN connector on the
camera,
•
the camera is connected to a power source,
•
AppsView has been closed, and
•
the camera is turned on.
Remote video troubleshooting
No remote video
Ask the remote site to check these conditions:
•
An inactive camera has been selected.
•
The camera has its brightness setting adjusted all the way down.
•
The camera does not have power .
•
The cable between the camera and the codec board is disconnected.
