Toolbar 3

This toolbar controls the preset positions for the PTZ camera. For information on
camera presets, please see Chapter 5.

Using the Connection Interface window

When you click the

Show Connection Interface

button on the AppsView toolbar, the

Connection Interface

window will open. All outgoing video or voice calls are placed

from this location. The

Connection Interface

 window has four tabs:

The

Speed-Dialer

tab shows all of the sites that are listed in your Address

Book, while the Speed Dial buttons offer quick access to sites you call
frequently.

Use the

Hand-Dialer

tab to call numbers that you use infrequently and

therefore do not need to enter into your Address Book.

Use the

Address Book

tab to maintain a list of numbers you call frequently.

The

Call Log

tab maintains a record of all incoming and outgoing calls. You

can determine the information displayed and how it is organized.

Making an ad hoc video call

Ad hoc calling lets you dial a call on the fly. You may want to use this method to call a
site you do not call often enough to need an entry in the Address Book.

There are four types of calls that can be made using AppsView, depending on the
network being used by the caller and the recipient.

H.320 (WAN) to H.320 (WAN)

H.323 (LAN) to H.323 (LAN)

H.320 (WAN) to H.323 (LAN)

H.323 (LAN) to H.320 (WAN)

The types of calls you can make are limited by
what capabilities are enabled.

If H.323 is not enabled, only H.320 and H.320 to
H.323 calls can be made.

If H.323 is enabled but a gateway is not present
on your LAN, only H.320, H.323 and H.320 to
H.323 calls can be made.
