Change of the Fuel Filter Elements
Use this procedure to replace the input filter (1) and filter (2).
Procedure for the fuel filters change:
a) Clean the external part of the head of the filter to be replaced;
b) Remove the base (A) turning it counterclockwise. Note: The filter (2) does not
feature the base (A);
c) Remove the element (A) and (B) of the heads (1) turning it also counterclockwise;
d) Lubricate with oil the sealing joint of the both sides of the new element;
e) Install the filter element (A or B) tightening it manually, not using instruments;
f) Perform the bleeding of the fuel system according to the procedure described

g) Activate the engine and check for possible leakage.
FUEL FILTER DRAINAGE
Input Filter
The water separating filter is located in the front part of your vehicle.
Daily
a) Release the plug on the inferior part of the filter (1), let the rest of fuel flow
down free of water.
b) Close the drainage.
ATTENTION: This water should be drained daily before starting the
engine.
Do not keep open the plug (2ª). This protects from the ingress of air into the
management system of the injection system.
If the light warning of water presence in the fuel starts glowing, drain
immediately water from the input filter.
IMPORTANT:
• It is essential that the drainage is carried out before the first starting;
• If after the oil drainage, the engine does not start operation, do not insist.
