HYDRAULIC STEERING SYSTEM
The steering sytem comprises one steering sector with incorporated cylinder, one
oil pump and one reservoir.
The reservoir is located on the front part of the vehicle.
Check the Oil Level in the Hydraulic Steering System
The level should be checked every 5 000 km.
Procedure for checking the oil level of the hydraulic
steering system:
a) With the engine is operating in a low gear mode, turn
the steering wheel left-and-rightwards, several times,
in order to heat the steering hydraulic fluid.
b) With the leveled vehicle, remove the gage rod
(1) located near the cap (2) of the reservoir filling
and check if the oil is between the minimum and
maximum marks of the gage rod.
c) If the level is below the minimum mark, fill the oil
according to the lubricating chart (chart 1), avoiding
the system operation with oil deficiency. The lack of oil leads to damages.
Oil Change in the Hydraulic Steering System

WHEELS AND TYRES
WHEELS
Check and adjustmetn of the Front Tyres Convergence
a) To inspect the wheels convergency: they must be aligned with the central line
of the vehicle;
b) By means of a tapeline or special advice, measure the front distance D and rear
T between the borders of the tyres at the height of the axle;
c) The convergency is correct if the front distance is 1 to 2 mm less than that
of the rear.
d) If necessary, perform the adjustment: release the clamp ring nut (1) on the
both sides of the axle and turn the rod (2) in such a manner to obtain the correct
convergency.
e) Re-tighten the clamp ring nuts. (1).
