OPTICAL WARNING INDICATORS
1- Turning Lights
When the turning light is switched on, the green light indicates, in the
form of intermittent signal, that this command is activated.
The improper operation of this light indicates that the system is in trouble. Stop
and find out the cause.
2 - Total and partial Odograph and Watch
The total distance in kilometers covered by the vehicle
is recorded by means of the Odograph (A). The partial
odograph (B) indicates the distance covered by the vehicle
within a determined path of motion.
To alter the odograph and watch functions, just press one time the button that is
situated on the lower part of the speed recorder.
To null, press and keep the button during a few seconds. The time must be
adjusted on the tachograph. To this effect, consult the tachograph’s manual that
accompanies the vehicle.
3 - Manometer
The manometer features hands that constantly indicate
the pressure in the circuit of the brake air system.
When the engine is in operation, frequently look at
the monometer to prove out the operation of the
pressure system.
- Green Hand: pressure in the front brake reservoir.
- Red Hand: pressure in the rear brake reservoir.
NOTE: Operating pressure in the pneumatic system is kept at about 9.0
bar. In case of the system failure (for exemple, hose breaking) that result in a
pressure drop of about 4.5 bar, the system blocks out the wheels.
4 - The Brake System Light
This red light starts glowing in two situations:
1- When the parking brake is activated; and
2- When a pneumatic pressure failure occurs in the brake system.
