3.5.6 Setting the Squelch Level
The Squelch Level sets the weakest signal the radio will attempt
to process. If the signal is weaker than this Squelch Level, the
radio will effectively ignore it and not provide any output at all.
Squelch only operates in Analog mode, or when the output of the
radio is set to provide an IF signal to external equipment
(External IF mode).
To set the Squelch level, follow these steps:
Be sure Strata is connected and
powered. See “Setting Up” and
“Turning the power ON and OFF”.
Start at the Main Screen.
Turn the Control Switch LEFT until the
display reads
Squelch Adj.
Push the Control Switch to select
Squelch Adj.
The current
Squelch setting begins to blink.
Preset #3
-43.2 dBm
Turn the Control Switch LEFT until the
desired Squelch level is displayed.
The choices are:
• No Squelch
• Force Squelch
• -65, -66, -67,... -94,
-95 dBm
Push the Control Switch to select that
Squelch level.
Display changes back to the Main
Screen.
