Connections
Follow the procedures below to connect the IP device to other equipment in the system.
1. If using 12 VDC, connect the power adaptor to the power connector on the dome and then to
an appropriate power source or use the terminal block connection pin 4. If using 24 VAC,
connect wires to terminals 4 and 5 on the screw terminal block.
2. The camera allows the transmission of power and data via a single Ethernet cable (the Ethernet cable should
meet the specs of UTP Category 5 and not
exceed 100 meters in length)
. When powering with PoE, connect
camera’s Ethernet port to an Ethernet (RJ-45) connector. If the camera has built-in PoE, it can be
regard as a Powered Device (PD) and connect it directly to a Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) device,
such as a PoE switch.
3. Connect a PC to the Ethernet hub (RJ-45 connector).
4. A BNC connector is provided for analog video connection, if required.
