Connections
ETHERNET (Network Port)
RJ-45 port provides connection (RJ-45 connector) to Internet, Ethernet (10Base-T/100Base-T). This
connection also provides PoE (Power over Ethernet). When using PoE, a PoE device, such as the
NETSWITCHPOE-24, is required.
POWER
12 VDC or 24 VAC is provided through screw terminal connections; as an alternative, 12 VDC is pro-
vided through the power cord socket provided. PoE is available using the RJ-45 connector.
VIDEO OUT
Connection for video out is provided with a BNC connector.
AUDIO OUT
Connection for Audio Out is provided. Audio out is not supported by ViconNet (future use).
MIC IN
Connection for Microphone In (external) is provided. Audio is not supported by ViconNet (future use).
INPUT/OUTPUT
8-pin screw terminal block used for 24 VAC power and general input/output. Input can be used for
alarms in. Output is not supported by ViconNet (for future use).
LOCAL STORAGE
A slot for an SD card is provided for local storage.
VIDEO FORMAT
A switch is provided to select 60 Hz or 50 Hz (designated NTSC and PAL on switch). (This is used for
analog video out only.)
LENS
The camera dome has an integral 3-9 mm varifocal autoiris lens. Focus and zoom controls are provided.
POSITIONING ADJUSTMENT
Loosen screws to adjust pan, tilt and rotation position of camera.
IR ILLUMINATION
18 IR LEDs are provided for IR illumination up to 65 ft (20 m).
RESET
Use the reset button to reset the camera or to restore factory defaults. Sometimes resetting the system
sets the system back to normal state. If the system problems remain, restore the factory settings and in-
stall again.
RESET: Press and release the button with a thin object. The camera reboots.
RESTORE:
1. Press and hold the reset button until the status LED rapidly blinks. It takes about 30 seconds.
2. Upon successful restore, the status LED will blink green.
MOUNTING
There are four (4) mounting holes provided on the camera dome. Refer to the Installation section.
