-To check valve clearance, centre the reference

marks of the timing system.

- Use a feeler gauge to check that the clearance

between the valve and the register corresponds

with the indicated values. When the valve clear-

ance values, intake and exhaust respectively, are

different from the ones indicated below, adjust

them by loosening the lock nut and operating on

the corresponding set screw, as shown in the fig-

ure.

Braking system

Level check

- Rest the vehicle onto the centre stand, with the

handlebar centred.

- Check the level of liquid using the warning lights

«A» and «B».

A certain lowering of the level is caused by

wear on the pads.

Top-up

Remove the handlebar cover as described in the

corresponding chapter.

For both brakes remove the reservoir cap by loos-

ening the relative screws, remove the gasket and

top-up using only the fluid specified without ex-

ceeding the maximum level.

ONLY USE DOT 4-CLASSIFIED BRAKE FLUID.
