Compute node or nodes

To turn on the hardware

Verify that the following cables are connected properly and securely:

■

SAS cables between the Primary Shelf and the Expansion Shelf

■

SAS-3 cables between the compute nodes and the Primary Shelf

■

Power cords from each component to the appropriate Power Distribution
Unit (PDU) sockets in the rack.

On the rear panel of the Expansion shelf turn on both power supplies.

Wait 2 or 3 minutes for the shelf to initialize. The shelf is more quiet when it
has initialized.
