Sicherheitshinweise
WARNUNG: UV Strahlen sind gefährlich für Augen und Haut. Der UV-C-Strahler darf nicht betrieben werden, wenn er aus dem Gerätegehäuse genommen wurde!
ACHTUNG: dieses Gerät enthält einen UV-C-Strahler! Unbeabsichtigter Gebrauch des Gerätes oder Beschädigung des Gehäuses kann den Austritt gefährlicher UV-C-Strahlung zur Folge
haben. UV-C-Strahlung kann den Augen und der Haut auch in geringer Dosierung Schaden zufügen.
- Die Stromversorgung muss den Produktspezifi kationen entsprechen. Schließen Sie das Gerät nicht an, wenn die Stromversorgung die spezifi zierten Vorschriften nicht erfüllt!

- Die verwendete Pumpe sowie das UVC-Gerät dürfen nur über eine Fehlerstrom-Schutzeinrichtung (Fi-Schalter/RCD) mit einem Bemessungsfehlerstrom von nicht mehr als 30 mA
betrieben werden. Für weitere Auskünfte wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren Elektrofachbetrieb.
- Pumpe und UVC-Gerät dürfen erst nach fertiger Installation aller Komponenten und Schlauchanschlüsse in Betrieb genommen werden. Das UVC-Gerät darf unter keinen
Umständen im Wasser in Gebrauch genommen werden und muss so neben dem Teich installiert werden, dass ein Überfl uten ausgeschlossen ist.
- Der Stromanschluss von Pumpe und UVC-Gerät muss in einem Abstand von mehr als 3,5 m zum Teich bzw. Wasserbecken erfolgen.
- Um eine Überhitzung der UV-C-Lampe zu vermeiden, darf das UVC-Gerät nur in Betrieb genommen werden, wenn Wasser das Gehäuse durchfl ießt. Nehmen Sie die UV-C-Lampe
niemals außerhalb des Gehäuses in Betrieb!
- Die Set-Pumpe und das UVC-Gerät dürfen nur bei einer Wassertemperatur von +5 °C bis +35 °C betrieben werden.
- Werden Set-Pumpe und UVC-Gerät während der Wintermonate nicht betrieben, so sind die Geräte abzubauen, zu reinigen und an einem frostsicheren Platz aufzubewahren.
- Ein Austausch des Netzkabels ist nicht möglich. Wenn das Kabel beschädigt wird, müssen die Set-Pumpe oder das UVC-Gerät sachgerecht entsorgt werden.
- Das Kontrollieren der Funktion der UVC-Lampe darf ausschließlich durch Sichtprüfung am Sichtfenster (befi ndet sich an der Stirnseite des Gerätes) erfolgen. Der direkte Kontakt
mit UV-C-Strahlen kann Augen-und/oder Hautverletzungen zur Folge haben.
- Für den Betrieb des UVC-Gerätes dürfen keine transparenten Schläuche verwendet werden. Wir empfehlen die Verwendung unseres schwarzen Spiral-Teichschlauches. Außerdem
sind der Ein- und Auslaufschlauch mit Schlauchklemmen gegen ein zufälliges oder unbeabsichtigtes Abziehen von der Schlauchtülle zu sichern.
- Das Gerät ist nicht zur Benutzung durch Personen (einschließlich Kinder) mit verringerten physischen, sensorischen oder geistigen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrung und
Kenntnissen geeignet, es sei denn, diese wurden von einer für ihre Sicherheit verantwortlichen Person überwacht oder erhielten Anweisungen bezüglich der Verwendung des
Gerätes. Kinder sind zu überwachen um sicherzustellen, dass sie nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.

Ubbink FiltraClear – Pond Filter
Commissioning
WARNING: The pump and the UVC device must be disconnected from the mains supply before performing any installation work!
To remove the fi lter cover, open the 2 click-closures on the broad rear UVC side of the fi lter, lift off the cover and release the two retainers (Fig. 1)
Prepare both fi lter chambers for setting-up
1) Insert partition (Fig.6)
With FiltraClear 2500/4500 (1) : in the middle guide rail
With FiltraClear 6000/8000 (2) : in the right and left guide rails
2) Position the fi lter media (included) (Fig.7)
FiltraClear 2500/4500 : in chambers 1 and 2
FiltraClear 6000/8000 : in chambers 1, 2 and 3
3) Screw the ball valve (for draining dirt) to fi lter chamber 1 (Fig. 4)
Push the enclosed 40 mm hose piece onto the hoze nozzle and secure the waste connection with the enclosed 38-42mm hose clamp (Fig. 9).
Install the supplied UVC device in the fi lter lid:
1. Detach the small cover from the fi lter lid by releasing the click-retainers on the underside of the lid (see the arrow markings (Fig. 2)
2. Prepare the UVC device in accordance with the instruction manual for setting-up.
3. Now fi t the UVC device into the large fi lter lid, lay the electrical cable into the provided recess and screw the connection unit in tightly (Fig. 3)
4. Fit the small cover back onto the fi lter lid, retaining in place with the click-retainers (Fig. 4)
5. Place the fi lter next to or near your pond so that it can still be easily accessed when you later have to maintain the fi lter. To obtain maximum power, the pond fi lter must be put in a
place that is in the shade or is partly shaded during the day. Ensure that the pond fi lter is set horizontally and slightly raised on a hard surface, so that both ballvalves are easy to
access.
Prepare the pump for connection with the infl ow connector (UVC) of the FiltraClear unit. Observe the instructions for use supplied with the pump.
Connect the pump and pond fi lter to the pond pipe, which has been cut to the required length. Use the appropriate pipe nozzles. Universal pipe nozzles must be shortened as required.
Now place the pump in the pond. Observe the requirements regarding minimum water depth and place the pump on solid ground, free of mud and sand.
Before putting the FiltraClear pond fi lter system into operation, check once again that:
1. The sealing cover and infl ow connection from the fi lter are properly screwed on,
2. The ball valve for draining dirt is closed,
3. The pipe connections from the fi lter infl ow and outfl ow are properly fi tted,
4. The instructions for use of both the pump and the UV-C device have been read and observed.
You can then bring the FiltraClear Pond Filter System into operation in the following sequence:
1. Always switch the pump on fi rst and check whether water fl ows evenly through the UVC device and the FiltraClear Pond Filter.
2. Check the entire pond fi lter system again for leaks. We recommend sealing leaky hose connections with suitable hose clips or standard tefl on tape.
3. Only then switch on the UVC device (if there is one) and check the operation of the UV lamp by visual inspection safely using the device's inspection window (blue light).
Note: during the period of bacteria development in the fi lter chambers (around 6-8 weeks from commissioning) the UVC device should not be switched on again.
4. It is important that your FiltraClear Pond Filter is in uninterrupted operation. Only for maintenance and during the winter period should the system be completely switched off .
5. If the pond fi lter is to be taken out of operation, always switch the UVC device off fi rst. Only then may the pump be switched off and the water drained from the pond fi lter.
Maintenance and Cleaning
WARNING: The pump and the UVC device must be disconnected from the mains supply before performing any maintenance or cleaning activities!
• If pump performance falls off , that could mean the pump interior is dirty and has to be cleaned. Please clean the pump in accordance with the instructions.
• If growth of fl oating algae in your pond visibly increases again, the cause may be a decrease in performance of the UVC device, caused by deposits on the quarz tube and/or a
decrease of the radiation intensity of the UVC lamp. In this case, the UVC lamp must be cleaned or the UVC lamp replaced. To do this, please proceed in accordance with the UVC
instructions.
• Depending on the level of pollution of the pond water it may be necessary - particularly in the fi rst few weeks after setting-up of the fi lter - to rinse out the dirt sediment from the
fi lter chambers using the ballvalve. You do not need to switch off the pond fi lter to do this.
Guarantee
• We grant you a three-year guarantee on your Ubbink FiltraClear pond fi lter, covering demonstrable manufacturing and material defects, applicable from the date of purchase.
When making a guarantee claim, the original sale receipt must be supplied as proof of purchase. In addition, we grant you a twelve-month guarantee of clean and healthy water
on your Ubbink FiltraClear pond fi lter. You can enjoy the benefi ts of the Ubbink® guarantee provided the FiltraClar fi lter has been subjected to its proper and intended use. Claims
can be made relating to the clean-water guarantee after six weeks (the period of use following initial operation required for effi cient fi ltration) and when using a Ubbink® pump,
should the water not be demonstrably clean and clear after this time.
• The guarantee does not cover complaints resulting from installation and operational errors, insuffi cient product care, the eff ects of frost, improper repair attempts, the use of force,
the fault of a third party, overload, mechanical damage, or the eff ects of foreign objects, neither does it cover complaints resulting from wear and tear, for instance in the case of
fi lter media, pipe nozzles, or pond pipes.
• Guarantee information relating to the pump and the UVC device are contained in the manufacturer’s instructions for use.

Sicherheitshinweise
WARNUNG: UV Strahlen sind gefährlich für Augen und Haut. Der UV-C-Strahler darf nicht betrieben werden, wenn er aus dem Gerätegehäuse genommen wurde!
ACHTUNG: dieses Gerät enthält einen UV-C-Strahler! Unbeabsichtigter Gebrauch des Gerätes oder Beschädigung des Gehäuses kann den Austritt gefährlicher UV-C-Strahlung zur Folge
haben. UV-C-Strahlung kann den Augen und der Haut auch in geringer Dosierung Schaden zufügen.
- Die Stromversorgung muss den Produktspezifi kationen entsprechen. Schließen Sie das Gerät nicht an, wenn die Stromversorgung die spezifi zierten Vorschriften nicht erfüllt!

- Die verwendete Pumpe sowie das UVC-Gerät dürfen nur über eine Fehlerstrom-Schutzeinrichtung (Fi-Schalter/RCD) mit einem Bemessungsfehlerstrom von nicht mehr als 30 mA
betrieben werden. Für weitere Auskünfte wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren Elektrofachbetrieb.
- Pumpe und UVC-Gerät dürfen erst nach fertiger Installation aller Komponenten und Schlauchanschlüsse in Betrieb genommen werden. Das UVC-Gerät darf unter keinen
Umständen im Wasser in Gebrauch genommen werden und muss so neben dem Teich installiert werden, dass ein Überfl uten ausgeschlossen ist.
- Der Stromanschluss von Pumpe und UVC-Gerät muss in einem Abstand von mehr als 3,5 m zum Teich bzw. Wasserbecken erfolgen.
- Um eine Überhitzung der UV-C-Lampe zu vermeiden, darf das UVC-Gerät nur in Betrieb genommen werden, wenn Wasser das Gehäuse durchfl ießt. Nehmen Sie die UV-C-Lampe
niemals außerhalb des Gehäuses in Betrieb!
- Die Set-Pumpe und das UVC-Gerät dürfen nur bei einer Wassertemperatur von +5 °C bis +35 °C betrieben werden.
- Werden Set-Pumpe und UVC-Gerät während der Wintermonate nicht betrieben, so sind die Geräte abzubauen, zu reinigen und an einem frostsicheren Platz aufzubewahren.
- Ein Austausch des Netzkabels ist nicht möglich. Wenn das Kabel beschädigt wird, müssen die Set-Pumpe oder das UVC-Gerät sachgerecht entsorgt werden.
- Das Kontrollieren der Funktion der UVC-Lampe darf ausschließlich durch Sichtprüfung am Sichtfenster (befi ndet sich an der Stirnseite des Gerätes) erfolgen. Der direkte Kontakt
mit UV-C-Strahlen kann Augen-und/oder Hautverletzungen zur Folge haben.
- Für den Betrieb des UVC-Gerätes dürfen keine transparenten Schläuche verwendet werden. Wir empfehlen die Verwendung unseres schwarzen Spiral-Teichschlauches. Außerdem
sind der Ein- und Auslaufschlauch mit Schlauchklemmen gegen ein zufälliges oder unbeabsichtigtes Abziehen von der Schlauchtülle zu sichern.
- Das Gerät ist nicht zur Benutzung durch Personen (einschließlich Kinder) mit verringerten physischen, sensorischen oder geistigen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrung und
Kenntnissen geeignet, es sei denn, diese wurden von einer für ihre Sicherheit verantwortlichen Person überwacht oder erhielten Anweisungen bezüglich der Verwendung des
Gerätes. Kinder sind zu überwachen um sicherzustellen, dass sie nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.

Ubbink FiltraClear – Pond Filter
Commissioning
WARNING: The pump and the UVC device must be disconnected from the mains supply before performing any installation work!
To remove the fi lter cover, open the 2 click-closures on the broad rear UVC side of the fi lter, lift off the cover and release the two retainers (Fig. 1)
Prepare both fi lter chambers for setting-up
1) Insert partition (Fig.6)
With FiltraClear 2500/4500 (1) : in the middle guide rail
With FiltraClear 6000/8000 (2) : in the right and left guide rails
2) Position the fi lter media (included) (Fig.7)
FiltraClear 2500/4500 : in chambers 1 and 2
FiltraClear 6000/8000 : in chambers 1, 2 and 3
3) Screw the ball valve (for draining dirt) to fi lter chamber 1 (Fig. 4)
Push the enclosed 40 mm hose piece onto the hoze nozzle and secure the waste connection with the enclosed 38-42mm hose clamp (Fig. 9).
Install the supplied UVC device in the fi lter lid:
1. Detach the small cover from the fi lter lid by releasing the click-retainers on the underside of the lid (see the arrow markings (Fig. 2)
2. Prepare the UVC device in accordance with the instruction manual for setting-up.
3. Now fi t the UVC device into the large fi lter lid, lay the electrical cable into the provided recess and screw the connection unit in tightly (Fig. 3)
4. Fit the small cover back onto the fi lter lid, retaining in place with the click-retainers (Fig. 4)
5. Place the fi lter next to or near your pond so that it can still be easily accessed when you later have to maintain the fi lter. To obtain maximum power, the pond fi lter must be put in a
place that is in the shade or is partly shaded during the day. Ensure that the pond fi lter is set horizontally and slightly raised on a hard surface, so that both ballvalves are easy to
access.
Prepare the pump for connection with the infl ow connector (UVC) of the FiltraClear unit. Observe the instructions for use supplied with the pump.
Connect the pump and pond fi lter to the pond pipe, which has been cut to the required length. Use the appropriate pipe nozzles. Universal pipe nozzles must be shortened as required.
Now place the pump in the pond. Observe the requirements regarding minimum water depth and place the pump on solid ground, free of mud and sand.
Before putting the FiltraClear pond fi lter system into operation, check once again that:
1. The sealing cover and infl ow connection from the fi lter are properly screwed on,
2. The ball valve for draining dirt is closed,
3. The pipe connections from the fi lter infl ow and outfl ow are properly fi tted,
4. The instructions for use of both the pump and the UV-C device have been read and observed.
You can then bring the FiltraClear Pond Filter System into operation in the following sequence:
1. Always switch the pump on fi rst and check whether water fl ows evenly through the UVC device and the FiltraClear Pond Filter.
2. Check the entire pond fi lter system again for leaks. We recommend sealing leaky hose connections with suitable hose clips or standard tefl on tape.
3. Only then switch on the UVC device (if there is one) and check the operation of the UV lamp by visual inspection safely using the device's inspection window (blue light).
Note: during the period of bacteria development in the fi lter chambers (around 6-8 weeks from commissioning) the UVC device should not be switched on again.
4. It is important that your FiltraClear Pond Filter is in uninterrupted operation. Only for maintenance and during the winter period should the system be completely switched off .
5. If the pond fi lter is to be taken out of operation, always switch the UVC device off fi rst. Only then may the pump be switched off and the water drained from the pond fi lter.
Maintenance and Cleaning
WARNING: The pump and the UVC device must be disconnected from the mains supply before performing any maintenance or cleaning activities!
• If pump performance falls off , that could mean the pump interior is dirty and has to be cleaned. Please clean the pump in accordance with the instructions.
• If growth of fl oating algae in your pond visibly increases again, the cause may be a decrease in performance of the UVC device, caused by deposits on the quarz tube and/or a
decrease of the radiation intensity of the UVC lamp. In this case, the UVC lamp must be cleaned or the UVC lamp replaced. To do this, please proceed in accordance with the UVC
instructions.
• Depending on the level of pollution of the pond water it may be necessary - particularly in the fi rst few weeks after setting-up of the fi lter - to rinse out the dirt sediment from the
fi lter chambers using the ballvalve. You do not need to switch off the pond fi lter to do this.
Guarantee
• We grant you a three-year guarantee on your Ubbink FiltraClear pond fi lter, covering demonstrable manufacturing and material defects, applicable from the date of purchase.
When making a guarantee claim, the original sale receipt must be supplied as proof of purchase. In addition, we grant you a twelve-month guarantee of clean and healthy water
on your Ubbink FiltraClear pond fi lter. You can enjoy the benefi ts of the Ubbink® guarantee provided the FiltraClar fi lter has been subjected to its proper and intended use. Claims
can be made relating to the clean-water guarantee after six weeks (the period of use following initial operation required for effi cient fi ltration) and when using a Ubbink® pump,
should the water not be demonstrably clean and clear after this time.
• The guarantee does not cover complaints resulting from installation and operational errors, insuffi cient product care, the eff ects of frost, improper repair attempts, the use of force,
the fault of a third party, overload, mechanical damage, or the eff ects of foreign objects, neither does it cover complaints resulting from wear and tear, for instance in the case of
fi lter media, pipe nozzles, or pond pipes.
• Guarantee information relating to the pump and the UVC device are contained in the manufacturer’s instructions for use.
