6. Installation
Installation should be made on a leveled vibration free floor. Allow at least 3ft (1m) from
each side of the cabinet to open and access the printer for routine maintenance and service. Make
sure that AC power and compressed air connections are accessible.
•
Electrical requirements:
90-240 VAC, 50-60Hz
•
Power consumption:
up to 700 Watts
•
Compressed air:
clean, dry, free of contaminants, oil and water
•
Air pressure:
5.5-7 atm. (80-100psi)
Upon receiving the system, remove it from the box and visually inspect for damage. The
system is carefully packed at the Tri-Star’s manufacturing facility. If any damage is noted, file a
claim with the carrier. Assemble the system as follows:
1.
Set M100LFG-TT/150 laser wire marker on a firm bench or table.
2.
Assembly the prefeed if necessary.
3.
Note incoming power 110VAC or 220 VAC and switch
“Voltage Selector”
to
appropriate position. This switch is located on the back panel of the cabinet.
4.
Plug power cord to the outlet.
5.
Hook up compressed air supply.
6.
Connect dedicated computer and monitor.
7.
Open the top cover of the cabinet and set the laser in place as shown on Fig. 4.2.
8.
Connect the utility module and water chiller.
9.
Connect the cables on the back of the laser head as shown on Figs. 4.3-4.6.
10.
Fill the chiller with distilled water.
11.
Align the laser in the following order:
•
Turn on the power.
•
Connect turn on and log in to the computer and open the marker program.
Main screen should be displayed.
•
Make sure that the cabinet doors are closed.
•
Put on laser protective glasses
•
Access the offset screen, click Center button. The low power laser beam
should be emitted.
•
Observe the low energy pilot beam entering the scan head. Use a piece of
clean white paper for beam visualization. If necessary insert the supplied
diaphragm into the inlet opening of the scanner.
•
Adjust the laser position so that the beam enters the diaphragm using the
laser adjustment and locks.
•
Observe the low energy beam in the middle of the marking field.
•
Follow the chapter 9.2 to set the beam operating position.
