5. Wire Processing
Operation of M100LFG-TT/150 consists of system start-up, program start-up, wire
loading, wire marking, system shutdown and emergency stop procedures.
System start-up:
Press Start button on the front panel.
Program start-up:
Turn on the computer and start the Marker program. The system will run through a short self-
testing cycle. If no faults are detected the main widow appears.
Wire loading:
1.
Load the wire as shown on the Fig. 4.8. If possible, attach the tail end of the wire to the
grounding clip.
2.
Open the front door
of the cabinet.
3.
Loose the straightener and open the belts using the toggle switches
4.
Feed the wire from the left of the cabinet to the straightener, between the encoder belts,
inside the wire channel, between the pulling belts and through the wire guide into the cutting
block (Fig.4.6).
5.
Make sure that the wire is in the middle of the pulling belts and close the belts using the
pulling belt toggle
switch.
6.
Make sure that the wire is in the middle of the encoder belts and close the belts using the
encoder belt toggle
switch.
7.
Gently, pull the wire back from the left side of the cabinet and tight the straightener.
8.
Use air pressure regulators on the back of the cabinet to adjust the belts pressure if necessary.
9.
Close the door.
Wire marking:
1.
From the main menu screen open a file with existing data or enter the new data following
Software Guide, Chapter 9.
2.
When starting a job for the first time or after a break press the Laser On button to warm up
the laser. Check a tiny blue footprint of the pilot beam in the middle of the wire as shown on
Fig.4.3. Adjust the beam position of necessary using Scanner Offsets. Refer to Chapter 7 for
troubleshooting options if no pilot beam is detected.
3.
Press the Run button. Pilot beam changes to powerful laser beam scanning on the wire
surface. Observe the marked wire coming into the coiling pan. Press the Stop button if there
is no marking or marking quality is poor. Otherwise, continue to process wires. The system
stops automatically when all wires in the file are processed. The system also stops when door
is open or laser-scanner malfunction is detected. Refer to Chapter 7 for troubleshooting
options.
Emergency stop:
Press EMERGENCY STOP on the front panel to shut down the system.
