x. Operate the ZOOM toggle switch and ensure the lamp travels between wide and narrow
beam.
xi. Check filter select function by selecting a new filter and ensure the filter wheel rotates to
the new position.
xii. Ensure the filter number on the TCP changes to the selected filter number.
xiii. Operate the searchlight DIM function switch and ensure the lamp intensity reduces and
resumes normal intensity. The DIM LED should illuminate while the light is in the
reduced power mode.
xiv. Turn the lamp OFF
the lamp should extinguish immediately.
xv. Ensure the TCP ON status LED is now extinguished.
xvi. Select IR filter (if installed) and ensure the TCP IR LED illuminates.
xvii. Hold the FILTER switch in the ENT position and press the DIM switch to activate the
TCP lamp test. All LED annunciators and all pixels in the alpha-numeric LED display will
illuminate at day mode brightness.
xviii. Check that the TCP backlighting (facia lighting) dims and brightens. Refer to the OEM
manual.
xix. Ensure the searchlight cooling fan turns OFF after approximately two minutes.
xx. Check the slave functions if installed. Refer to OEM manual.
xxi. Check the laser pointer (if installed) operation with the aid of night vision goggles or
similar.
xxii. Ensure the TCP laser pointer status LED illuminates when the laser pointer is turned
ON. Turn the laser pointer OFF.
xxiii. STOW the system. The searchlight will move to the STOW position and the STOW LED
will illuminate and remain ON.
CAUTION:
DO NOT TURN OFF THE SYSTEM POWER SWITCH IMMEDIATELY
AFTER TURNING OFF THE LAMP.
THE COOLING FAN NEEDS TO OPERATE FOR APPROXIMATELY
TWO MINUTES AND WILL THEN AUTOMATICALLY SHUT ITSELF
DOWN.
xxiv. Turn power off.
