(q)  Turn OFF the lamp. 

NOTE:  The lamp generates a great deal of heat during operation and needs to cool 

down safely. 

Do not turn off the Power System Switch before reading the following 

cautionary information. 

CAUTION: 

DO NOT TURN OFF THE SYSTEM POWER SWITCH IMMEDIATELY 

AFTER TURNING OFF THE LAMP. 

THE COOLING FAN NEEDS TO OPERATE FOR APPROXIMATELY TWO 

MINUTES AND WILL THEN AUTOMATICALLY SHUT ITSELF DOWN. 

THE SYSTEM MAY THEN BE TURNED OFF. 

(5)  After the fan has shut down, turn OFF the System via the grip hand controller. 
(6)  Disconnect the umbilical service cable. 
(7)  Disconnect the lamp assembly from the PCIU MKII and grip hand controller. 
(8)  Reinstall the lamp assembly in accordance with Chapter 5, H.
