(j) Align the lamp assembly locating pins (3 off) (Figure 55, item 6) with the gimbal housing
locating slots and push the lamp assembly all the way into the housing.
NOTE; Ensure the electrical cables and connectors are not damaged or crushed
during this operation.
(k) Rotate the lamp assembly in a clockwise direction ensuring that the locating pins reach the
end of travel in the locating slots.
(l) Refit the four rear retaining screws (Figure 55, item 4) and tighten to a torque of
0.5 ± 0.1 Nm.
(m) Refit and tighten the three front retaining screws (Figure 55, item 3) to a torque of
0.5 ± 0.1 Nm.
WARNING: ENSURE THAT POWER HAS NOT BEEN APPLIED TO THE
SEARCHLIGHT SYSTEM BEFORE CONNECTING THE GIMBAL TO THE
AIRCRAFT SYSTEM.
(n) Connect the aircraft power and control connectors to the gimbal.
