CAUTION:

WHEN SLAVING THE TRAKKABEAM

TO FOLLOW A CAMERA, BE AWARE THAT

THE HARD STOP SETTINGS MAY PREVENT THE LAMP FROM FOLLOWING THE

CAMERA THROUGH ITS FULL RANGE OF MOVEMENT.

THE HARD STOP SETTINGS ARE SET TO PREVENT THE LAMP FROM POINTING

AT SENSITIVE AREAS OF THE AIRCRAFT AND POSSIBLY CAUSING SERIOUS

HEAT DAMAGE.

(1) The ability of a Trakkabeam

to follow the movement of another system is dependent on the

mounting location of the two systems on the aircraft. For example, a camera may be mounted

under the aircraft to allow 360° of rotation but the Trakkabeam

may be mounted on the side of the

aircraft where movement is limited because of operational necessities. Refer to Chapter 4, K for

additional information on the gimbal movement.

NOTE: For optimum slaving performance, the searchlight must be mounted to the

aircraft so that both the elevation and azimuth planes of the searchlight are

parallel to the corresponding elevation and azimuth plane of the camera.

WARNING: DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY INTO THE LASER BEAM. SERIOUS EYE DAMAGE

AND/OR BLINDNESS MAY RESULT.

has been designed to accept the Laserex LDM-5 Low Divergence Module

Laser Pointer as a Trakka Corp supplied option and is delivered with the laser pointer mounts

factory fitted.
