Chapter 5: System Settings
Monitoring and configuration of the 9sg is broadly split into two different sub-
menus under the “System” menu…”System Status” and “System Configuration”.
System Status
The “System Status” menu provides information related to the performance and
configuration of 9sg. This includes details about the sample rate, up time, monitor
paths, CPU load, software versions, and IP configuration.
Audio I/O Status
Displays information about the audio subsystem including sample rate and jitter.
This is used primarily for diagnostic purposes.
Monitor Out Status (1/2)
Provides an overview of each monitor path including the currently selected source
and other diagnostic metrics.
System Information
Contains information about CPU load, available memory, up time, and software
versions.
Network Information
This menu gives details about the unit’s LAN connection, including the IP address,
MAC address, and number of NfRemote sessions that are currently connected.
System Configuration
In the “System Configuration” menu you’ll find all of the “utility” controls that aren’t
directly related to monitoring or MPX signal generation. This includes passwords,
date/time, IP configuration, software updates, configuration backup/restore, and
several other things.
Password
This one is pretty self explanatory—It allows you to change or clear the unit’s
password. The default (as mentioned earlier) is 1234. We don’t recommend that you
actually clear it, though it is certainly possible to do so.
