“Band x Minimum @ x dB” interacts with the “Band x Maximum @ x dB” control
and determines the point on the monitor volume control at which the gain of this
band is 0 dB.
•
“Band x Maximum @ x dB” interacts with the “Band x Minimum @ x dB” control
and determines the point on the monitor volume control at which the gain of this
band is the amount set by the “Band x PEQ Gain” control.
Note that this “Minimum” and “Maximum” is relative to 0 dB regardless of the sign.
A “Maximum” could be -2 dB or + 2 dB (for example) depending on whether the PEQ
Gain for that band is set to cut or boost.
•
“Band x PEQ Center Frequency” (as one would expect) determines the center
frequency of each EQ band. Note that each band can be set to any frequency (or
the same frequency) and they do not necessarily need to be in order by
frequency. This is truly a fully parametric EQ.
•
“Band x PEQ Bandwidth” controls the bandwidth or “Shape” of the EQ curve for
each band. Lower numbers will create a narrower EQ curve and affect a smaller
number of frequencies near the center, while larger numbers will create a
broader EQ curve and affect a wider range of frequencies further away from the
center.
•
“Band x PEQ Gain” controls the maximum boost or cut for each EQ band and
interacts with the “Band x Maximum @ x dB” control above.
A value for the currently applied boost or cut in each band is displayed below each
set of EQ controls.
