5.4.3 Moving the Piezo using the ‘Output’ control
In open loop operation the ‘Output’ control knob can be used to adjust and set the
voltage output as displayed in the main digital display.
If the unit is being used with a Strain Gauge K-Cube and is in closed loop mode (see
Section 4.4.4. for details on changing the mode of operation) then the ‘Output’ control
can be used to adjust the piezo position (see Section 5.7.).
1) Rotate the ‘Output‘ control clockwise. Notice how the voltage display increments
to show the increasing voltage applied to the piezo.
2) Rotate the ‘Output’ control an ticlockwise. Notice ho w the voltage display
decrements to show the decreasing voltage applied to the piezo.
5.4.4 Jogging the Piezos
When the jog buttons are pressed, the piezo moves by the voltage step specified in
the Jog Step Size parameter.
1) Click the ‘Settings’ button to display the Settings panel.

2) In the ‘Voltage Jog Step Size’ field, enter 0.1
3) Click ‘OK’ to save the settings and close the window.
Note
The read out in the Piezo K-Cube main digital display is always in Volts
regardless of whether open or closed loop mode is selected. If the Piezo
K-Cube is used in conjunction with a Strain Gauge K-Cube and is
operating in closed loop mode, then a ‘Position’ value is displayed on the
Strain Gauge K-Cube digital display.
